Chris Day is part of the Corporate Practice and Commercial Real Estate and Banking Groups at Powell & Edwards, P.C.  Chris primarily focuses on corporate planning and entity formation, and effectively advises clients on defining rights and obligations of individuals, Members, and Stockholders associated with their respective entities.

He has experience in drafting and reviewing both internal and external contracts of many types, including Shareholder, Operating, Asset Purchase, Stock Purchase, and Confidentiality Agreements. In addition, Chris’s practice involves the facilitation of real estate transactions for institutional lenders and individuals alike, and assists developers in acquiring and developing real estate in conjunction with his Corporate Practice.

Prior to joining Powell & Edwards, Chris graduated from The University of Georgia, where he concentrated in Economics and first discovered an interest in business and law. He holds both a Juris Doctor and Masters in Business Administration from The Georgia State University College of Law and J. Mack Robinson School of Business at GSU.

While in his graduate programs, Chris obtained the CALI award for highest grade in legal writing, competed on The Moot Court Board in several national competitions and interned with The Honorable Justice Robert Benham of The Supreme Court of Georgia. 

Chris thrives on counseling clients using both his legal and business acumen, and wishes to assist both the novice entrepreneur and experienced business person. Chris enjoys being active within the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and Gwinnett Bar, and is separately active as a local musician to the Atlanta metropolitan area.
